Trucker among 4 arrested with contrabands

JAMMU, Sept 7: Four persons including a trucker have been arrested along with contraband.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number JK03A-6986 at Suketar.
During checking, police team recovered 191 kilograms of poppy straw which was concealed in specially designed cavity made in the truck and arrested the driver.
The arrested driver has been identified as Lovepreet Singh, son of Paramjeet Singh of Sadyala, Baba Bakala Byas, Amritsar Punjab.
Meanwhile, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station along with sleuths of district Special Branch (DSB) during checking arrested three persons along with 110 grams of cannabis and 700 grams dried leaves of bhang.
The arrested persons were identified as Kulvinder Singh, son of Chain Singh of Roop Nagar district Jammu, Chanchal Singh, son of Sher Singh of Bagga district Reasi and Raman Kumar, son of Hari Saran of Last Morh Gandhi Nagar district Jammu.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rajesh Khajuria made the arrest under supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
