RAMBAN, Sept 6: Dead body of an accident victim was recovered from river Chenab near Gujjar Kothey area of Talwara in District Reasi.
As per reports, body of Constable Aashaq Hussain, son of Mohammad Yaseen Gani of Chadoora District Budgam posted with IR 16th Battalion at Ramban was recovered from river Chenab near Gujjar Kothey area of Talwara in District Reasi today.
He was one of the deceased, who was killed when the tempo traveler they were traveling in skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and submerged into river Chenab near Mehar area here on August 31 this year.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to District Hospital Reasi and after completing legal and medical formalities, will be handed over to family members for last rites.
Cognizance in this regard stands taken by Ramban Police.
