JCO martyred as Pak violates truce on LoC in Poonch

JAMMU: Pakistan troops yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.

Earlier in the morning, a Junior Commissioned Officer attained martyrdom as Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire in Keri Sector of Rajouri district.

Defence spokesman here said that Pakistan troops this morning at around 1845 hours, initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by fring with small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in Kirni and Qasaba sectors of Poonch.

“Indian Army is befittingly retaliating to the firing,” said that spokesman.

Meanwhile sources said that one JCO was also martyred in cross border firing. (AGENCIES)
