8 MOs terminated

JAMMU, Sept 1: While issuing two separate orders, Government today terminated services of eight Medical Officers (MOs) for their prolonged unauthorized absence from duties.
According to the first order, four MOs namely Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Laway (absent from SKIMS), Dr Mahrukh Ibrahim (SDH Beerwah), Dr Jan Mohd (SDH Sopore) and Dr Abdul Hamid Wani (MCH Sopore) were un-authorizedly absent from their duties for a long time and failed to report back to their duties even after getting several notices from Director Health Services Kashmir and Administrative Department.
“Therefore, in provision of Article 128 of J&K Civil Service regulations Volume-I, these un-authorizedly absent doctors are terminated and they are discharged from the Government Services,” the order read.
Another order said that the probation of MOs namely Dr Mohd Yaqoob Wani (absent from DH Bandipora), Dr Raheeb Ahmed Shah (CHC Sumbal), Dr Omair Ashraf (DH Bandipora) and Dr Adil Rafiq Rather (PHC Qoimoh), who were un-authorizedly absent from their duties and failed to report back despite serving notices to them by Director Health Services Kashmir and Administrative Department, is hereby terminated and they are discharged from the Government service.
