Cheat arrested for duping unemployed youth

JAMMU, Sept 1: The Crime Branch of J&K Police today arrested a fraudster/cheat for duping three educated unemployed youth of Rs 7 lakhs for managing Govt job for them.
Identified as Mohd Syed Shah, son of Bhaw-Ud-Din Shah, a resident of Budhami Nagar, Natipura, Srinagar at present Dangiwacha, Baramulla in case FIR No. 47/2019 U/S 420 RPC of P/S Crime Branch Jammu from Dangiwacha, Baramulla for his involvement in duping unemployed youth of Jammu of an amount of Rs 7 lakhs on the pretext of arranging Govt job. The accused was not cooperating in the investigation of the instant case and was constantly evading his arrest by changing his locations.
In a written complaint lodged by the complainants, Vikas Sharma, son of Kulwant Raj of Sungal in Tehsil Akhnoor; Pardeep Kumar , son of Bodh Raj resident of Sandal, Tehsil Chowki-Choura, Sanjay son of Lal Chand from Mawa Brahmana in Akhnoor District Jammu with Crime Branch, Jammu, alleging therein that being unemployed they had paid in cash Rs 2.50 lakh, Rs. 2.50 lakhs and then Rs 2.00 lakhs respectively, to the accused namely Mohd Syed Shah of Natipora, Srinagar, who claimed to be working on the post of Agriculture Assistant in J&K Agriculture Department, for arranging their appointments on permanent basis in Secretariat at Srinagar, but neither the accused got them appointed as promised nor did he return their money.
Crime Branch Jammu laid a trap for his arrest and with meticulous planning and coordination, the location of the accused was traced and arrested with the cooperation of local Police. The accused has been produced before the Court through virtual mode and his further 06 days Police remand has been obtained for further investigation of the case.
