IYC demands postponement of JEE, NEET exams

RAJOURI, Aug 31: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) held peaceful protest demonstrations against government demanding JEE, NEET postponement, near Press Club here today.
Large number of office bearers and activists of Youth Congress Rajouri under the leadership of Iftkhar Ahmed, National Co-ordinator IYC gathered outside Press Club Rajouri and held protest against Union Govt decision to conduct JEE, NEET exams amid Corona crisis and raised slogans against Govt.
While addressing Iftikhar lambasted Modi Govt for playing with the life of students and putting their life at risk by conducting exams of JEE, NEET.
He further said that at the time of corona pandemic, the first priority of Govt should be to save the life of students instead of their future. He further raised the questions about intention of Union especially Ministry of HRD to conduct JEE , NEET Exams as all schools, college and other important institutions are closed. “Why Govt is interested in conducting exams to put life of students at risk?” he asked.
He further warned Govt not to play with the life of students. He sought support for NSUI who is on hunger strike for last so many days under the leadership of Neeraj Kundan National president NSUI.
He further demanded that the exams of JEE and NEET should be postponed or be conducted through online mode.
The protest dharna was addressed and attended by Ibrar Ahmed Choudhary, president District Youth Congress Rajouri, Amit Syal general secretary DYC Rajouri, Abrar Khan general secretary DYC, Hamad Shafiq, Tanus Khan, Zeeshan Malik, Imran Khan, Shazad Ahmed, Feroz Khan and others.
