SRINAGAR, Aug 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party president Mohd Altaf Bukhari today said that the J&K Administration must work for the public welfare on the ground level and try to mitigate sufferings of the people.
While addressing a gathering at function held here in connection with the joining of ten senior political activists mostly Panchayat representatives including two vice chairpersons of Block Development Councils of Sangrama and Zingeer Sopore here today, Bukhari said the JKAP is getting stronger and stronger with the joining of more people. He said this party is becoming voice of the people from Jammu and Kashmir.
Referrign to the sufferings of the people, Bukhari said the Union Government and J&K administration must work on the ground to mitigate public sufferings. The officers must reach out to the masses, he suggested.
The JKAP president lauded the role and contribution of the new entrants in development and mitigation of sufferings of people in their respective areas. “I am of firm belief that the political activists who joined JKAP today would bring a positive change on the ground. They would render their services reaching out to the people in their respective areas and strengthen the party at the grassroots level,” Bukhari observed.
A spokesman of the party said, the ten new entrants to JKAP included Farooq Ahmad Bhat Vice Chairperson Block Development Council (BDC) Sangrama and former incharge of Peoples Conference Sangrama Constituency, Farooq Ahmad Rather Vice Chairperson BDC Zaingeer-Sopore, Mohammad Maqbool Peer Sarpanch Bulgam, Fehmeda Begum Sarpanch Reengil, Adil Ahmad Rather a youth leader from Sangrama, Hilal Mir Lallad youth leader, Abdul Qayoom Ganaie youth leader Hygam, Mohammad Akbar Wani a senior political activist from Chandkooth, Waqar Ahhmad Bhat from Rebbann Sopore and Sajad Ahmad Sheikh a youth leader from Palhallan.
