JAMMU, Apr 18: BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria has criticized the yesterday’s statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and termed it totally baseless.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Khajuria said Chief Minister should go to public after proper home work instead of presenting false pictures of other political parties.
While reacting Omar Abdullah’s address in Mendhar, Poonch, yesterday, he said that whatever was said by the Chief Minister seems that he went to level allegations on other political parties without knowing the facts and whatever he said had neither base nor logic.
Ashok Khajuria said that it is most unfortunate that the most sensitive state like Jammu & Kashmir, which ought to have a mature and seasoned politician to head it as Chief Minister, is forced to be ruled by an immature person whose actions and statements many a times reflect childishness.
Taking serious exception to CM’s statement that BJP was dividing the state on the basis region and religion, Khajuria said people know the facts much-more better, than Omar Abdullah that who is dividing the state and who not.
He said there have been many instances during the last 65 years which indicate that NC continuously worked on the policy of dividing the people on the basis of region and religion. Now after realising that the majority of people have themselves seen that NC always misled them for vote bank politics they are shifting their support to BJP in large numbers.
He said what NC did in State Assembly by taking sides on Afzal Guru shows that the party has soft corner for separatists and divisive forces.
Khajuria said while BJP talks of all the three regions of the state, the successive Governments in the state, mostly of NC or having NC as ruling partner, always gave preferential treatment to a particular region in all matters and at all levels.
