SAMBA, Apr 17: The wheat over 12 kanals of land at Sapwal was completely destroyed in the fire which broke out in the fields today after the short circuit in the High-tension power line which was running over the fields.
According to reports entire crop in 12 kanals of land was destroyed and the fire was stopped from spreading further after the fire tenders from Samba reached the spot to extinguish the fire.
The Samba Police has registered a case. The agriculture land belonged to Mani Ram, Subash Chander, Manohar Lal, Jasbir Singh and Satpaul. All are the residents of Sapwal.
