98 bovines rescued under operation Kamdhenu

RAMBAN, Oct 10: Acting on specific inputs regarding transportation of bovine animals, a police party from Police Station Ramban intercepted three vehicles bearing registration numbers JK14B-8523, JK19A-1326 and JK19-A-2676 while police party of Police Station Chanderkote intercepted two different vehicles bearing registration numbers JK19 0062 and JK 02AK 2243 which were on their way from Jammu to Srinagar.
On checking these vehicles cops found 98 bovines loaded with utmost cruelty and without any arrangements of food and water.
These bovines were being transported to Kashmir without any valid permission of the competent authority and the cops rescued all these 98 bovines under operation Kamdhenu.
In this regard, cases in FIRs 348/2022, 349/2022 and 351/2022 under relevant sections were registered at Police Station Ramban and FIR No. 155 and 156/2022 at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
The overall rescue operation was made by police parties under the command of Inspector Sandeep Charak, SHO Ramban, Inspector Padam Dev Singh, SHO Chanderkote under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen, Dy. SP HQ Ramban and under overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
