NEW DELHI, Mar 29: Copper prices fell further by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on stockists selling in tandem with a weak Asian trend.
Traders said stockists selling in tandem with a lower Asian trend and absence of cues from the London Metal Exchange, which is closed for local holiday, mainly led to the fall in copper prices.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in July fell 1.1 per cent to USD 8,812 a tonne in Shanghai.
In the national capital, copper fell further by Rs 2 to Rs 437 per kg.

Zinc ingot 125-131, nickel plate (4×4) 1,060-1,063, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 437, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 144, lead imported 142, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142. (PTI)
