RAMBAN, Jan 14: Nine tourists including four children were injured, when the Scorpio car they were traveling in met with accident near Ludwal area of Batote today morning.
As per police sources, a Scorpio car bearing registration number JK02BA-3366 was on its way to Patnitop from Jammu, when it met with accident near Ludwal area of Batote, resulting into injuries to nine tourists including three females, two males and four children. The vehicle later caught fire.
After getting information, CRPF personnel Ajay Malik, Assistant Commandant Officer Commanding B/84 CRPF and Pooja Malik Assistant Commandant Officer Commanding D/84 BN CRPF launched rescue operation along with QAT and Coy personnel immediately.
All the injured persons were evacuated from the vehicle and shifted to Government Hospital in Batote, from where they were discharged after medical treatment.
Timely and swift rescue operation launched by the 84 CRPF troops averted the loss of life.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
