REASI, May 21: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Khour area of Mahore and rescued nine bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
Acting on a specific information regarding the bovine smuggling, a Police party of PS Mahore, led by SHO Rajesh Sharma, established naka at Khour area and intercepted the suspected person. On questioning, suspect Showkat Ahmad, son of Mohd. Shaffi of Upper Dubri, Tehsil Mahore, confessed that he was smuggling bovines from Dubri to Kashmir.
Police rescued the bovines and arrested the accused, A case FIR No.25/25 U/S 223/BNS/11/PCA Act has been registered in this connection at the Police Station Mahore.
