TIRUMALA, Mar 29: Around 85,000 laddus of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) were packed and dispatched to Vontimitta temple in Kadapa district on Sunday for the upcoming Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam.
Nearly 300 Srivari Sevaks participated in the exercise, including over 200 women and about 100 men volunteers, completing the packing, lifting and dispatch operations within five hours, a release stated.
The activity was carried out under the supervision of Estates Officer and Deputy EO (Parakamani In-charge) Venkateswarulu and his team, with packing commencing at 8 am and concluding by 1 pm.
Officials said the initiative was undertaken as per the directions of TTD Chairman B. R. Naidu, Executive Officer M. Ravichandra and Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary.
The laddus will be distributed to devotees attending the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam scheduled on April 1 at Vontimitta.
Staff of Srivari Seva Sadan also participated in the arrangements.
