8 PoK residents among 47 cross sides on LoC in Uri sector in Kashmir

SRINAGAR :  Ten fresh guests from Pakistan-occupied- Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while eight Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives separated in 1947.
Meanwhile, 26 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri, official sources told here today.
They said despite below freezing temperature, ten PoK residents arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot. They included three women and three  children.
They said sixteeen Kashmiris, including five women and two children, who had gone to PoK also returned to their homes after completing stay there.
Eight Kashmir residents, including five women, also crossed over to PoK to meet their relatives separated during partition.
They said thirteen PoK residents, who were here also returned to their homes after completing stay in Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
