KATHUA, Aug 2: The police arrested eight persons under Gambling Act and seized the stake money amounting to Rs 3150 from them here today.
Acting on a tip-off the police raided a place at village Chak Desa Singh and arrested eight persons while gambling. The police recovered Rs 3150 cash and playing cards from them. A case was registered against them.
They were identified as Surinder Kumar Tina, Karan Kumar Gorkha, Rakesh Kumar, Bhola Ram, Shinda, Rakesh Kumar, Surinder Kumar and Kishori Lal, all hailing from Chak Drab Khan.
