RAJOURI, Feb 6: At least eight persons were injured in two separate road accidents in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that three persons were seriously injured when a Tata Sumo No. JK-11/6286 rolled down into a gorge at Pateli, on Thannamandi-Darra road this afternoon. The vehicle was trapped in the trees and escaped from falling into nearly 1000 feet deep gorge.
The seriously injured driver Shahnawaz from Pateli and Abdul Rashid and Kulsum begum from Darra village were shifted to Thannamandi Hospital and then referred to District Hospital, Rajouri.
Five persons were injured when a Tata Magic vehicle no. JK-11/3912 over turned on the road at Kheora this evening. The injured Mariyam Akhtar, Safina Begum, Ritu Bakshi, Sujata Bakshi and Pankaj have been admitted to Rajouri hospital.
