UDHAMPUR, June 20: Eight BSF personnel were injured when their vehicle rolled down into a deep gorge at Tamatar Morh on the National Highway, near Kud, here today.
The vehicle was on way from Jammu to Kashmir when its driver lost control over the steering resulting into the accident. Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured Jawans to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where doctors referred six of them to Military Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as SI Sita Ram of 96 Battalion, Constable Abhoy Pain of 59 Battalion, H/c (Driver) Balraj Singh of 96 Battalion, Constable Ashok Thapa of 59 Battalion, Constable Raman Kumar of 59 Battalion, Constable Ash Mohamed of 59 Battalion, Constable Nariander Bharti of 59 Battalion and Constable P K Guleria of 59 Battalion.
Condition of all of them was stated to be out of danger and stable.
