UDHAMPUR, Oct 28: The police seized two vehicles and rescued eight bovine animals near Kud today.
Official sources said that Police naka team from Police Station, Kud led by SHO during checking sopped two vehicles bearing temporary Registration No. JK2020T/R-8941 and JK14B/ 8030 for checking.
During search of said vehicles, eight bovine animals were found loaded in both the vehicles without any valid permission.
All the 8 bovine animals were rescued and bovine smuggler namely Mohd Mushtaq, son of Mohd Yousaf of Ramban was arrested on spot.
In this connection, two cases under relevant sections of law stand registered at PS Kud and further investigation is underway.
