UDHAMPUR, Dec 5: Police team of Police Station Udhampur foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and rescued eight bovines.
These bovines were being smuggled in a vehicle bearing registration number JK19A-1587, which was intercepted at Jakhani naka point. Driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot after leaving behind his vehicle on road.
Police team rescued all the bovines and seized the vehicle. In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is in progress.
