SRINAGAR, June 30: Minister for CA&PD Choudhary Zulfkar Ali on behalf of Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation today in Legislative Assembly said that due to heavy hailstorm which took place on March 14, 2016, a total of 7702.80 hectares of Actual Sown Area and 5075.24 hectares of Total Agriculture Area was affected in three Tehsils of Sunderbani, Beri Pattan and Siot.
The Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice moved by Mr Ravinder Raina in the House.
The Minister said that as per SDRF norms, relief is admissible if the loss is more than 33%. He said that the District Level Standing Committee as constituted under SOP approved by the State Executive Committee will assess the damages and if losses are more than 33% then the assami-wise list will be prepared and the relief provided under SDRF norms to affected families, Minister added.
