7 vehicles seized for violating MV Act provisions

JAMMU, Dec 11: Jammu and Kashmir today seized seven vehicles for allegedly violating the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
During a special naka established at Jhajjar Kotli by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikas Dogra, seven vehicles purchased from outside the Union Territory were seized for not undergoing the mandatory legal transfer of ownership to their current users, a police official said.
He said the seized vehicles include Mahindra TUV, Maruti Alto, Tata Nexon, Chevrolet Tavera, Mahindra Xylo, and Tata truck.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have appealed to all the vehicle owners to follow the legal norms and ensure that mandatory ownership transfer procedures are completed on time to avoid legal action.
