SAMBA, Mar 2: Seven vehicles, including five dumpers, were seized for illegal mining in Samba and Ramgarh areas today.
A police official said that police teams of Samba, Ramgarh, Mansar, and Supwal during routine patrolling duties in their jurisdictions, seized seven vehicles bearing registration numbers JK21G-0097, JK02CT-9433, JK21E-8791, JK19-7283, JK19A-3867, JK21K-4009 and one tractor trolley without registration number, for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
The seized vehicles were later handed over to the Geology and Mining Department for further legal action, he said.
