JAMMU, Feb 16: Seven officials of the PW(R&B) Department, including two Draftsmen have been placed under suspension for remaining unauthorisedly absent from duty.

Official sources said that during the surprise visit of the Dy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary to the Satwari PWD(R&B) Division on Feb 14, some of the officials of the said Division were found absent from their duties. Choudhary issued on the spot instructions to the Chief Engineer, PWD Jammu Zone to place these officials under suspension pending inquiry. After suspension they were attached to Billawar/ Basohli/ Kathua R&B Divisions. Their salary has been withheld.
Those suspended are- Senior Assistant, Inder Kumar, attached to R&B Division Basohli; Senior Assistant Ranbior Singh, attached to R&B Div Billawar; Senior Assistant Sheetal Devi, attached to R&B Div Kathua; Anil Sharma- Draftsman, attached to R&B Div Kathua; Girdhari Lal, Draftsman, attached to R&B Div Basohli; Anoopam Mansotra, Works Supervisor, attached to R&B Div Billawar and Abhishek Kumar, MTS , attached to R&B Division, Billawar.
