JAMMU, July 25: A seven-member delegation comprising members from different social and political fields in the State left for Kathmandu-Nepal to attend a three day -long Hindu International Hindu meet there. The conference titled “Global Hindu Thought Leaders Strategy Meet” will be held from July 26 to July 28.
The delegation is led by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State Spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs and Minority Hindu Human Rights activist. The other members of the delegation include Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP State Spokesperson (Dy. Leader), Kamal Bagati, Rajinder Kaul, Vimla Chrungoo, Vikram Singh and Adv. Pulkit.
The leader of the delegation, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo will be making a presentation on the situation of Hindus in the Jammu and Kashmir State in the conference. Delegates from various corners of the world will be participating in the strategy meet pertaining to the Global Hindu narrative and the future planning.
The conference is being organized by Global Hindu Foundation in collaboration with the World Hindu Federation. There is a common concern that Hindus were facing a number of problems in the world and as their cultural background, ethnicity, religion and traditions become reasons for their undue maltreatment. Since Government of India had no policy of protection regarding these Hindu populations in various corners of the world previously, the advent of Modi regime in India has brought a sea change in the approach now. It is observed that the Hindus need to come up as vibrant force in international arena, politics and diplomacy. The myopic vision to keep Hindus confined to rituals and puja in parts of the world needs to change in essence.
Hindus have as global citizens explored the real outreach of Dharma as the complete way of life irrespective of various rituals, customs, traditions and beliefs. While they have made huge investments through their time, skill, labour, thought, energy and money, it is time to look beyond and get counted in real sense. It is for the first time that a delegation of J&K Hindu leaders/activists have been invited to participate at the Kathmandu strategy meet as active participants.
The inauguration of the Conference will take place on July 26 as per the statement of Pramod Kumar Choraria, acting president of World Hindu Federation. Pardip Kukreja, Kuala Lumpur based president of the Global Hindu Federation will be the co-host of the event which will be attended by eminent politicians, diplomats, bureaucrats, activists and HHR defenders from various parts of the globe.
