JAMMU, Apr 23: Government today promoted seven doctors to higher posts in their own pay and grade while one doctor was shifted and another was given additional charge.
According to the order, Dr Shah Nawaz (Assistant Professor) of Opthalmology Department in Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has been placed on the post of Associate Professor while Dr Sami Ullah (Lecturer) of Anesthesiology Department, Dr Mohd Zubair Qureshi (Lecturer) of Blood Bank and Dr Obaid Ashraf (Lecturer) of Radio Diagnosis and Imaging Department have been placed on the post of Assistant Professor.
Similarly, Dr Masarat Jabeen (Lecturer) of Dermatology Department of GMC Jammu has been placed on the post of Assistant Professor whereas Dr Shazia Hamid (Assistant Professor) and Dr Gurmeet Singh (Assistant Professor) of Medicine Department have been placed on the post of Associate Professor.
Meanwhile, Dr Sanjay Turki (Incharge STO Jammu) has been transferred and posted as Incharge Chief Medical Officer Samba while Dr Suresh Gupta (Incharge, Controller of Stores, Jammu) has been given additional charge of STO Jammu, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
