RAJOURI, Apr 21: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued seven animals and arrested the accused smuggler.
The bovine animals were being smuggled in a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK11A- 2441, which was stopped by police at Kallar naka, Sector Chingus.
Driver of the vehicle, identified as Mohd Gafoor, son of Mohd Bashir of Bhattian was arrested on the spot while the vehicle was seized by the Police. A case FIR has been registered in this connection and further investigation is going on.
