UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: Udhampur Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 7 animals at Battal Ballian Udhampur.
Based on reliable information, a police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Sanjeev Chib, laid a surprise naka at Battal Ballian for checking of vehicles. Noticing the police party, driver of one Tata Mobile parked his vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02AS-5685 on road side and fled away from the spot. During checking, police rescued 7 bovine animals from the vehicle.
In this regard, a case under FIR number 422/2017 u/s188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Udhampur.
