JAMMU Dec, 28: In a significant initiative to promote the rich heritage of “Sanatan Dharma” among the younger generation and interested individuals, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Jammu, has launched a “Vedic Pathshala” at its “Sankat Mochan Panchmukhi Shree Hanuman Mandir Bhawan”, situated at B.C Road Jammu.
The 36th session of Vedic Pathshala commenced with 60 students, mostly under 15, actively participating.
They received comprehensive instructions on reciting “Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and Shree Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand path, and besides above Dharma-Karma Gayan.
What’s remarkable is that these young learners not only grasped the verses but also recited them with great devotion. During a sharing session, the students impressively recited verses in Sanskrit and then skillfully translated them into both English and Hindi. Their ability to recite and translate Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and Shree Hanuman Chalisa was particularly noteworthy, earning appreciation from all presence.
The impact of Sanatan Dharma on the new generation is performed, as it instills a deep understanding of their cultural heritage and traditions. By introducing these timeless values and teaching at a young age, we empower the next generation to connect with their roots and carry forward the legacy of Sanatan Dharma. This initiative not only preserves ancient wisdom but also fosters a sense of identity, community and spiritual growth among young minds, ensuring a vibrant cultural continuity for years to come, said Shri Pawan Kumar Shastri, President of the Trust.

Under his stewardship, the Trust’s Jammu Yatri Bhawan in Haridwar has emerged as a haven for pilgrims, offering luxurious accommodation in its 150 meticulously maintained A.C Rooms. The Trust’s unwavering commitment to serving humanity is exemplified by its uninterrupted free Langer seva, which has been nourishing 600 – 700 devotees daily since 1995.
