REASI, Nov 27: Reasi Police teams conducted surprise inspections at various locations across the district, resulting in the seizure of six vehicles involved in illegal mining activities.
During the operation, six drivers were apprehended, along with their vehicles, for indulging in illegal mining. They were identified as Mohd Jaffer of Chitta Bas, Mahore, Reasi (driver of Tractor number JK20A-2196), Nisar Ahmed of Dewal, Mahore (driver of Tractor number JK20A-8658), Altaf Hussain of Dewal (Tractor number JK20B-5201), Mohd Yonus of Seela, Reasi ( Tractor number JK20C-5228), Ishfaq Ahmed of Dasanoo, Reasi (Tractor No. JK20C-0968) and Qamer Din of Sunderbani, Rajouri (Dumper number JK20B-9058)
After Seizure of these vehicles, the concerned Mining Officer was informed to initiate necessary legal proceedings against the violators. The whole operation was led by SHO Reasi under supervision of Dy SP HQs Reasi.
