SAMBA, Aug 7: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized six vehicles including five dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PSs) Ghagwal, Vijaypur and Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police teams headed by SHO, PS Ghagwal, SHO PS Vijaypur, in charge of Police Posts (PPs) Rakh AmbTalli and Mansar of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized five dumpers bearing Registration Nos. JK21J-9085, JK21K-9917, JK20B-3146, JK02CW-5013, JK21J-8689 and a tractor trolley bearing Registration No. JK21E-3277 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
