UDHAMPUR, June 26: The police foiled an attempt to smuggle bovine animals in Ramnagar area and rescued six cattle during early hours today.
Acting on reliable information, a police team from Police Station Ramnagar led by SHO intercepted six bovine animals being taken on foot by smuggler near Kaghote bridge. These bovines were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
All the cattle were rescued on the spot. On seeing the police team, the smuggler fled the spot. The police registered a case under FIR No. 99/2025 at Police Station Ramnagar in this connection. The police was looking for smuggler, who escaped from the spot.
