UDHAMPUR, Feb 13: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Tikri and rescued six bovines even as the smuggler managed to escape from the spot.
Reports said that a police team of Police Post Tikri intercepted a vehicle (Bolero Pick Up) bearing registration number JK19-6928. During checking, six bovines were found laden inside the vehicle in a very cruel manner and without any valid permission.
Driver of the vehicle mange to flee from the spot. Police rescued all the bovines and seized the vehicle. In this regards, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
