UDHAMPUR, Mar 15: Foiling two bovine smuggling attempts under the jurisdiction of Police Station Majalta and PP Ghordi, Police rescued six bovine animals.
During naka checking at Battal, Police intercepted a Tata Pickup bearing registration number JK19A-5370. Upon checking, four bovine animals were found tied in a cruel manner and being transported towards Kashmir without valid permission. All bovines were rescued and the vehicle was seized.
Meanwhile, Police team of PP Ghordi rescued two bovine animals, which were being transported from Sarsoo towards Kashmir without any valid permission.
In both the cases, FIR were registered.
