Addressing a press conference, SSP Doda stated that loss or theft of mobile phones is a common concern among people and often causes inconvenience and distress. To address this issue in an effective manner, Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched a dedicated online mobile recovery portal, enabling citizens to lodge complaints through a simple, transparent, and accessible mechanism.

As a result of these sustained efforts, 58 beneficiaries were reunited with their mobile phones, providing much-needed relief to the affected individuals.
He further stated that the recovered mobile phones had been reported at different police stations across the district. With dedicated efforts, technical expertise, and continuous monitoring by the Cyber Police Team, all traced mobile phones were recovered and subsequently returned to their rightful owners.
He also revealed that some of the recovered mobile phones were related to cases that were nearly one year old. In another notable achievement, the SSP informed that Rs 6.5 lakh defrauded money was successfully restored to victims of cyber fraud.
