MENDHAR, June 14: For the first time to provide some relief to the local public from traffic jams and idle and wrong parking of vehicles in the main Bazaar of Mendhar town, the police today seized 52 vehicles.
In a widely appreciated action and special drive today, the Police party from Mendhar led by SDPO Shahid Nahim and SHO Anzir Mir during swift action, seized 21 bikes, eight Tippers, six Tata Mobiles, 14 Sumos and three cars parked in Mendhar Bazaar, creating traffic jams. The police has appealed the general public not to wrongly park their bikes/ vehicles otherwise they will be lifted. It said that this special drive would be continued for next couple of days. The locals have widely lauded the efforts of police.
