JAMMU, July 24: Chowk Chabutra Police seized 50 bundles of Chinese thread and arrested one person.
As per police sources, on specific information about sale of Chinese thread rolls a team from Police Post Chowk Chabutra led by PSI Jyoti Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Singh and SDPO City Sharad Kalu conducted raid.
During raid, police team recovered 50 Chinese thread bundled and arrested one person, who was identified as Karan Marwa, son of Surinder Kumar, a resident of Kali Jani District Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrest was made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads.
A case under FIR Number 85/2022 under section 188 IPC has been registered against the arrested person at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
