POONCH, July 24: In coordination of Police and Mining Department, five vehicles involved in the illegal transportation of minor minerals were seized in Poonch district.
The operation was carried out under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary and in presence of District Mining Officer Javid Iqbal.
The joint operation was aimed at curbing the illegal transportation of minor minerals which can cause damage to the environment and lead to revenue loss for the government.
Two tippers and one JCB were seized in Behramgala and one dumper and one tipper were seized in Potha by Police and Mining Department.
