5 passengers injured, livestock perish as vehicle rolls down

UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: Five persons were seriously injured and livestock got perished when a Mahindra Bolero rolled down into a deep gorge adjoining Panchari road, near Pathi Pangara, here today.
According to the reports, a Mahindra Bolero, bearing registration number JK14L-1958, was on its way from Udhampur to Mali in Panchari when it met with accident near Pathi Pangara, resulting into injuries to all five passengers on board.
As 20 goats and sheep were also loaded in the vehicle, all the livestock got perished in the accident.
The injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred all of them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
The injured were identified as Ghulam Nabi (40), son of Mohd Mirza of Roundomail; Sharja Bibi (35), wife of Tabu of Jandrah; Seema Bibi (35), wife of Liaqyat Ali of Jandrah; Mohd Janani (30), son of Gogal Din of Jandrah; Asha Bibi (30), wife of Janani of Jandrah.
Police have registered a case in this connection.
