JAMMU, July 9: RS Pura police today arrested five gamblers and recovered bet money of Rs 10,000 from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from RS Pura police station conducted a raid at Satrian camp and arrested five gamblers along with Rs 10000 bet money and play cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Mohammad Butta of Ganda, Pawan Singh, son of Kulbir Singh of Satrian, Sunil Kapoor, son of Ragubir Kapoor of Ward Number 4, RS Pura, Harish Sharma, son of Diwan Chand of Ward Number 3, RS Pura and Davinder Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Ward Number 10, RS Pura.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
