RAMBAN, Aug 20: Sangaldan police arrested five gamblers along with Rs 8170 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Sangaldan Police Post conducted raid and apprehended 5 gamblers along with Rs 8170 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons have been identified as Kali Dass, son of Devi Ditta of Tata Pani, Qamerjeet Singh, son of Isher Dass of Sumber, Altaf Hussain, son of Nazir Ahmed of Dalwa, Khursheed Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Baramulla and Kapoor Chand, son of Devi Ditta of Dalwa.
A case under relevant sections of the Gambling Act stands registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sangaldan Police Post SI Deepak Katoch made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gool Inspecto Javed Ahmed, DySP (Ops) Gool Amin Bhat, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
