JAMMU, June 5: Renowned saints, Sanskrit scholars and Sufi singers will assemble here from within and outside the State as `Shri Gou Gopal Paryavaran Sammelan and Yagya’ is being organized at Seri Panditan (Chhanni), near Amb Garhota in Bhalwal from June 7 to 11, 2017.
Keeping in view fast depletion of green gold and growing pollution, the programme is aimed for environment awareness through religious awakening of masses. The venue, where this programme is being organized, happens to be the place of worship of Shri Dewarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, a renowned spiritual personality of Jammu and Kashmir, whose religious discourses and sermons continue to enlighten the masses.
Giving details of the programme at a press conference here today, Shri Gangadhar Ji Maharaj, a young saint and disciple of Shri Shastri Ji Maharaj, informed that this “Paryavaran Sammelan” is based on the theme of one of Shree Maharaj Ji’s last sermons: “Hamey Chahney Wale Hamey Eint-Panthron Sey Bani Hui Imarton Mei Na Dekhatey Huhey, Kisi Daridr Narayan Aur Ped-Podhon Key Roop Mei Dekhein…” (Those who love us, they should not see us in structures made of bricks and stones, but in God of poor and trees / plants).
“Renowned Sanskrit scholars and revered saints from within and outside the State are taking part in this five-day religious congregation where they will enchant and enlighten the devotees with their discourses,” he said.
About the programme schedule, Swami Ji said, “Holy Kalash Yatra will be taken out on June 7, 2017 at 10.00 AM while Havan Yagya will be performed daily from 8 June, from 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM. Besides, there will be religious discourses and Sankirtan by renowned saints and scholars, which has been divided into two time slots i.e., from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM and 8.00 PM to 10.00 PM daily.”
“Spiritual discourses and recitation of Vedic hymns will energize the atmosphere, which will help in protection of environment as well as bringing positive change in the minds of people all around,” he said, adding further, “The programme will commence with performing of Kalash Yatra ritual while performing of Havan Yagya as well as Sankirtan etc would be other attractions of the Sammelan.”
Swami Ji also invited people from all walks of life and faiths in general besides devotees in particular to take part in the “Paryavaran Sammelan” along with their families and friends, and get benefitted with the spiritual discourses and other programmes during the five-day ceremony.
