REASI, May 12: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued five bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
On specific information regarding the bovine smuggling, a party of Police Station Mahore, led by SHO Rajesh Sharma, established a naka at Khour area and rescued these bovines.
On questioning of the accused, namely Mohd Basharat, son of Mohd Shaffi of Mah Kund, Tehsil Gool, Police established that he was smuggling these bovines y from Gool to Kashmir.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case FIR No.21/25 U/S 223/BNS/11/PCA Act in this connection at Police Station Mahore.
