UDHAMPUR, Feb 9: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling in Majalta and rescued five bovines, which were being smuggled in a vehicle to Kashmir.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK03D-0188 was stopped by a team of Police Station Majalta at Battal naka point. Sensing trouble, driver fled away from the spot after leaving behind his vehicle on the road.
During checking, five bovines were found laden inside the vehicle in a cruel manner and without any valid permission. Police rescued all the bovines and seized the vehicle. In this regard, case FIR Number 14/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Majalta.
