5 bovines rescued, 2 held

RAMBAN, Apr 2: Police today rescued five bovine animals and arrested two persons near Digdhol area, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban police station.
As per police sources, police team from Ramban police station intercepted two persons carrying 5 bovine animals near Digdhol area. During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory replies and were arrested by police.
The accused have been identified as Ghulam Rasool, son of Rustam of Sarbagni, district Ramban and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Keema Gujjar of Dalwa Gool.
To dodge the police, the accused were taking the bovines to Valley by foot but their attempt was foiled by police.
A case under FIR number 38/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Ramban police station Inspector Ajay Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
