JAMMU, Nov 13: Jammu and Kashmir reported 49 new dengue cases, taking the total count this year to 3,148.
According to figures released by the Directorate of Health Services Jammu, a total of 330 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the fresh positive cases, 30 are males and 19 females. The age-wise breakup shows 8 cases among children and 41 among adults.
Jammu district continues to bear the highest burden with 31 cases and a cumulative tally of 1,340. Kathua followed with 10 cases, while Doda reported 3 cases. One case each was also reported from Udhampur, Poonch, Reasi, Poonch, Ramban and Kashmir region. A total of 41 cases have been reported from other states and UTs this year.
Since January, 49 patients have been admitted, of whom 46 have been discharged. One death has been recorded so far. A comparison with last year shows a significant decline, as 5,965 cases were reported during the same period in 2024.
