400 inducted as constables in CRPF

SRINAGAR, Sept 28:  Over 400 recruits were today formally inducted as constables into the Central Reserve Police Force after the passing out parade at the Recruit Training Centre here.
“CRPF is not only playing important role in maintaining law and order but also instrumental in natural calamities and welfare works to help people of the country,” SDG Anirudh Uppal, who took salute at the passing out parade, said.
While Raman Kumar was given the best trainee award, Bheem Raj was adjudged the best shooter, Ajay Kumar the best in indoor and Bhagwan best in outdoor, the spokesman said.
The recruits, hailing from different States of the country including 32 from Jammu and Kashmir, will perform a wide range of duties, a CRPF constable said.
He added that these constables were imparted intensive training to operate in different environmental conditions with emphasis given on subjects like law, human rights and police-public relations etc.
These recruits are conducted into the Force as constables only passing of rigorous examinations conducted periodically during basic training of about one year, he informed.
