JAMMU, Nov 21: Continuing the ongoing drive to ensure road safety and strict enforcement of traffic regulations, the police today conducted intensive checking at multiple locations across the Poonch district and seized 20 two-wheelers.
Official sources said that during this enforcement exercise, a total 40, two-wheelers were challaned for various violations of the Motor Vehicle Act, including riding without helmets, driving without documents, triple riding, and other visible breaches of road safety norms.
During this operation, 20, two-wheelers were also seized under Section 207 of the MV Act for serious violations and non-possession of mandatory documents. These vehicles were taken into custody as per legal procedures.
