POONCH, Sept 12: The police seized four vehicles and a JCB machine for illegal mining in Surankote area of Poonch district today.
A police official said that, a police party from Surankote led by SHO, Insp Aejaz Ahmed Wani, under the supervision of SDPO, Surankote Ajaz Ahmed Choudhary during an operation seized two tippers and two tractor trolleys involved in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
A JCB machine was also seized by police on the spot. DMO Poonch was informed about the seizure and initiating legal proceedings, official said.
