MENDHAR, Oct 9: Four persons were injured in a tractor accident in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
Reports said a tragic road accident took place near Ari village of Mendhar Sub-Division in Poonch today, leaving four people injured. The tractor carrying four men over-turned, causing severe injuries to all of them.
On receiving information, the Mendhar hospital administration immediately sent an ambulance to the spot and shifted the injured to the Sub-District Hospital Mendhar. Medical Officer Dr Javed Iqbal Choudhary informed that one of the injured, identified as Ishtiaq Ahmad (34), son of Wazir Hussain, was referred to GMC Rajouri in critical condition, while the other three were undergoing treatment at Mendhar Hospital.
The injured have been identified as Waqaar Ahmad (35), son of Mohammad Ashraf; Tauseef Ahmad (20), son of Basharat Hussain, Danish Ahmad (13), son of Sikandar Azam, and Ishtiaq Ahmad (34), son of Wazir Hussain, all residents of Ari village, in Mendhar.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the cause of accident.
